The school has teamed up with “Lets go zero” to improve our carbon footprint, to be more sustainable and work towards Net zero. A committee has been formed, an action plan has been wrote and a raft of measures will be introduced across the site to reduce our carbon footprint. Over the next few weeks and months students and staff will be trained up to be more environmentally aware. If you wish to become a climate ambassador, speak to Mr Denison. No Mow May, is part of this work. Other projects include water saving devices being installed, reducing the use of plastic bottles across the site, switching off unnecessary electrical items, closing windows, there are lots of “things” that can be done to improve our carbon footprint. Combined all these new initiatives will make a big difference.
