Vocational Studies
Within the vocational studies suite the students have the option of studying Health and Social Care and Children’s Play Learning and Development at KS4 and KS5. We aim to develop students understanding of Health and Social Care and Children’s Play Learning and Development to enable them to pursue potential careers ranging from teaching, nursing, social care, public services and adult care.
Through our curriculum our students develop a wide understanding of how life and life circumstances affect us all. Learners foster a secure knowledge of needs of a diverse society and the difficulties faced by different groups within that society, whilst considering the growth and development of all.
In lessons, students focus on four core strands of the vocational suite; the impact of circumstances on personal development and growth, the importance of social connection on health and development, the impact of daily life on emotional health and the development of theory behind intellectual development.
Our curriculum encourages students to investigate equality and diversity in these contexts.
