RACE NIGHT – SEPTEMBER 2025

On behalf of The Bemrose School Charitable Association, the trustees want to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended our first Race Night on Friday 26th June 2025. It’s safe to say a great night was had by all. We had lots of winners and some not so lucky runners up.

Thank you to the attendees for making it such a great night and creating a real buzz of an atmosphere, thank you to all of you who sponsored a horse and special thanks to the local businesses who sponsored a race: Penguin PR, Severn Trent, COWI UK Ltd and Kings Chartered Accountants.

All the generosity on the night meant that the total we raised was over £1000! This is a huge amount which will really help to make a difference and provide some amazing experiences for our students.

To all those who came with family members and friends, please pass on the thanks and fundraising total to them – it was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time.

Please remember keep your eyes peeled for our next event.

Player Development Programme – Derbyshire Netball Association

The U15s PDP is the second stage in the England Netball Player Pathway. Trials take place in September—click HERE for eligibility and selection details.. A squad of 20 athletes (years 9 and 10, with year 8 eligibility by age banding) trains for four hours every two weeks at Woodlands School, Allestree, Derby, from October to June, along with match play against other regional counties. School netballers (as young as 8 years old),

Derbyshire Netball are running 2 camps this year as trial preparation for girls in current Years 4,5,6 and 7.

The information and application form is on the website at the link above – it says closing date is 9th May – but this is being extended to 23rd May as we have only just got around to sending it out to clubs and schools.

Trials are on 6th / 20th Sept for Under 13s and 13th / 27th Sept for Under 15s.
